In the year 1911, a foreign company was drilling for oil but found mineral water instead. The local population soon discovered its healing properties and in 1936, a pool was built along with baths for soaking in the thermal water. Since 2003, the place has been called ‘Toplice Sveti Martin’ and from that time has undergone an intense period of tourism development, as well as the name change to LifeClass Terme Sveti Martin, becoming a synonym for first class continental tourism.

The health in LifeClass Terme Sveti Martin comes from its thermal mineral water, which according to the analysis is one of the best in Europe by its chemical composition and a unique concentration of Lithium, Strontium, Fluorine, Iodine, Sodium, and Potassium. Another healthy fact is local food. The resort follows a “0 km” food policy, which means that more than 80% of food ingredients are produced locally.
